Conventional reservoir simulators are usually designed to simulate large scale reservoirs, whereas the near-well effects are overlooked. 4_PHASE allows us to evaluate near well skin caused by skeleton deformation, drilling, and fine migrations.
4_PHASE can be used in a combined manner to simulate both large-scale and near well effects.
After carefully simulating various near-well effects, production optimization can be conducted by nodal analysis, including artificial lift and natural flow conditions.
