PERF_OPT was designed by PGI engineers to assist perforation engineers in evaluating their designs and optimizing a perforation strategy. PERF_OPT can also be used to analyze under-balanced perforation,optimize a preferred perforation orientation,and dertermine the perforation distance between the open section and possible conning body. Perf_opt allows engineers to select the corresponding and optimum perforation guns and perforation parameters.
